Contestants should submit proposals for the design of picture frames, photography frames and mirror frames for tables, walls and floors, perceived from different perspectives and designated for various uses and spatial positioning with their aesthetic properties bearing equal importance to their functionality. The objects may be produced in a material of the artist’s choice.

All submitted entries must be entirely new and original creations in compliance with the competition theme, both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and suitable for a limited, small-scale production run. All contest entries should be presented in the form of either 3D digital models (produced with CAD/CAM or CAID software, and in high resolution rendered images clearly showing the shape, appearance and purpose of the artifacts, as well as their dimensions, materials, surface finishes and paints), and/or as 3D physical models made of the appropriate material (metal, wood, ceramics, composite materials and/or all types of plastics).
The submission deadline is September 30, 2016.

Philanthropist Madlena Zepter established this award in 2004 and since then, Artzept has grown from strength to strength and is regarded today as one of the most highly acclaimed design awards in the world. Every year, Mrs. Zepter defines a competition theme and a jury made up of very reputable artists and critics to judge the work of the participants. This year the winners will be picked by an expert jury including some of the most renowned luminaries from the arts: art historian and critic Gordana Biba Markovic, art director Carlo Magnoli and industrial designer Prof. Kosta Krsmanovic.

The contest is open to young, emerging talents from all over the world and aims to stimulate creativity and ignite new ideas as well as support exceptionally talented designers. The ethos of the award is also in line with Zepter’s mission, which looks to enhance people’s quality of life around the world through the quality of the goods it sells. This year the winning artwork will receive a 10,000 € prize, second prize will be 4,000 € worth of Zepter products and third prize 3,000 € worth of Zepter products.
All winning entries will have their works exhibited in luxury Zepter shops throughout the world.
